Google Calendar

Calendar pairs naturally with Gmail. Together they enable the morning brief, meeting prep, and the full meeting workflow. On its own it still does enough to be worth connecting on day one.

What changes once it's on

Calendar enables several skills that activate automatically — see Skills for the full catalog. The short version: see your schedule with context, find time without playing Tetris, schedule meetings from chat, and have Fluso prep you before a call. Tasks with deadlines fold into the calendar view.

Setup

Calendar comes in through the Google Workspace app — the same connection that covers Gmail, Drive, Docs, and the rest of the suite. If you already connected it for Gmail, Calendar is on and there is nothing to do here.

Otherwise: open Plugins in the sidebar, click Add MCP, and click Connect on Google Workspace. Sign in with the Google account whose calendar you want Fluso to run, and approve the permissions on Google's screen. Reading is what shows your schedule and availability; write access is what lets Fluso create and modify events when you ask.

Prompts that work well

Schedule:

"What's on my calendar today?"

"What does my week look like?"

"Show me my meetings with Acme this month."

Find time:

"When am I free for thirty minutes tomorrow?"

"Find a one-hour slot this week when the engineering team is available."

"I need two hours of focus time today."

Schedule from chat:

"Schedule a thirty-minute standup tomorrow at 9am."

"Create a meeting with Sarah next Monday at 2pm."

"Set up a recurring 1:1 with my direct reports every other Tuesday."

Prep:

"Prep me for my 3pm."

"Brief me on my next meeting with Acme."

Disconnecting

In Plugins, open the Google Workspace row's three-dot menu and click Disconnect. Tokens are deleted immediately. Note this disconnects the whole Google Workspace connection, Gmail included.

You can also revoke from Google Account → Security → Third-party apps.

Troubleshooting

A calendar I expected isn't showing up

Make sure the calendar is shared to the account you authorised. Fluso only sees calendars visible to that Google account.

Times look off by hours

Confirm your timezone in Fluso settings matches your Google Calendar timezone. Mismatches shift event times.

Can't create events

Verify write access was granted on Google's permission screen. Reconnect from the row's menu in Plugins if the original sign-in only granted read access.
